Winners from each project category will automatically be in the running for the RCI Project of the year category.
The deadline for entry is Friday 23rd June 2023.
Please note:
The Façade Awards UK recognise the main contractor (who worked on the project) and the manufacturer of the main product used for the project* as detailed in your entry form.
It is therefore vital that the information you provide is accurate from the outset.
For example the shortlist would read…”[project name] – [contractor] with [main manufacturer]”
Entries are welcome from third parties involved in a project (i.e. Architects, agencies etc). Please note however that they will not be acknowledged in the published details and prize giving should the entry be successfully shortlisted.
You will of course be able to benefit from your own publicity surrounding the project and your involvement.

Best new build project
The judges will be looking at the overall look of a building, including the architect’s design and how it complements the existing surroundings as well as the challenge and logistics involved to complete the project.
The project should have been built on time, within budget and either met or exceeded client's expectations, all of which will be looked on favourably.
Qualifying projects must be completed between 1 June 2022 and 1 June 2023.
Best refurbishment project
The judges will be looking at the overall look of a building, including the architect’s design and how it complements the existing surroundings as well as the challenge and logistics involved to complete the project.
The judges will be looking at the overall building from its original form and how the transformation has greatly improved the aesthetics of the new refurbishment. Before and after images will greatly help in this category. The project should have been built on time, within budget and have either met or exceeded the client's expectations.
Qualifying projects must be completed between 1 June 2022 and 1 June 2023.
Best use of a brick slip cladding system
The judges will be looking at the overall look of a building, including the architect’s design and how it complements the existing surroundings as well as the challenge and logistics involved to complete the project.
The judges will be looking for a brick slip system that has been installed on either a new build or refurbishment project, and that has been completed to a very high standard. With regards to a refurbishment project, judges will be looking to see how well the product has improved/complemented the existing building. The project should have been built on time, within budget and have either met or exceeded the client's expectations.

Best use of a composite panel system
The judges will be looking at the overall look of a building, including the architect’s design and how it complements the existing surroundings as well as the challenge and logistics involved to complete the project.
The judges will be looking for a composite panel system made from any hard metal material, which has been installed to a very high standard on either a new build or refurbishment project. With regards to a refurbishment project, judges will be looking to see how well the product has improved/complemented the existing building. The project should have been built on time, within budget and have either met or exceeded the client's expectations.

Best use of a curtain walling system
The judges will be looking for a curtain walling system, which has been installed to a very high standard on either a new build or refurbishment project. With regards to a refurbishment project, judges will be looking to see how well the product has improved/complemented the existing building. The project should have been built on time, within budget and have either met or exceeded the client's expectations.
Qualifying projects must be completed between 1 June 2022 and 1 June 2023.
Best use of a rain screen system using aluminium
The judges will be looking at the overall look of a building, including the architect’s design and how it complements the existing surroundings as well as the challenge and logistics involved to complete the project.
The judges will be looking for an aluminum panel system that has been installed on either a new build or refurbishment project, and that has been completed to a very high standard. With regards to a refurbishment project, judges will be looking to see how well the product has improved/complemented the existing building. The project should have been built on time, within budget and have either met or exceeded the client's expectations.

With regards to a refurbishment project, judges will be looking to see how well the product has improved/complemented the existing building. The project should have been built on time, within budget and have either met or exceeded the client's expectations.

The judges will be looking for a timber clad product that has been installed on either a new build or refurbishment project, and that has been completed to a very high standard. If it’s a refurbishment project, judges will be looking to see how well the product has improved/complemented the existing building. The project should have been built on time, within budget and have either met or exceeded the client's expectations.

Most Innovative Product
The judges will be looking for the high level of creativity and innovation of your new product in terms of but not limited to: materials used to make it, its method of application or the way its made. The judges may also be looking to see how well the product has improved, complemented or innovated an existing project.
Sustainable Project of the Year
The judges will be looking for a new build or refurbishment project that has utilised a system that demonstrates sustainable and environmental credentials. With regards to a refurbishment project, judges will be looking to see how well the product has improved/ complemented the existing building. The project should have been built on time, within budget and have either met or exceeded the client's expectations.
Qualifying projects must be completed between 1 June 2022 and 1 June 2023.
Outstanding Achievement
The judges will be looking for a person, who during their career, has worked tirelessly to raise the profile of their business and the facades industry as a whole. Nominations should include an outline of the person’s career to date, their current role, and examples of how their hard work and dedication has had a positive impact on the sector.

RCI Project of the Year
This award is chosen by the judges from all of the finalists and cannot be entered
The judges will be looking at the overall building (new build or refurbishment), taking into consideration several factors, such as the purpose of the building and what impact it has on the community; the external aesthetics of the building, its sustainable and energy efficient attributions; and how the building has complemented the current surroundings. The project should have been built on time, within budget and have either met or exceeded the client's expectations.
